This room, in real size, would be 12 ft x 15 ft (3.6m x 4.6m).
It is entered from the Upper Hallway via a mahogany six-panel door with a brass doorknob. There are two; 12-pane windows, one looking out to the front of the house and the other looking out to the rear, both windows have brass curtain rods. It has a small fireplace with a slate hearth and a fire basket. Two lamps light the log basket, one gives a red glow and the other gives a flickering flame effect. There are two brass candle type wall lights, one each side of the chimneybreast. The floor is made to look like pine planking. There is a moulded skirting board all round the room and a moulded coving around the ceiling. The ceiling is painted white with a centre rose and the walls are papered with a period patterned paper.
